Kitchen Remodel Cost in Orange County: What Your Budget Actually Buys
Three things drive the price of any kitchen renovation – the size of the room, whether the layout changes, and the materials you choose. Here’s how most projects break down so you can see where yours is likely to land before you ever request a quote.
Cosmetic Kitchen Refresh - Cabinet Refacing and New Countertops
Mid-Range Kitchen Renovation - New Cabinetry, Flooring, and Appliances
Full-Scale Kitchen Transformation - Wall Removal and Layout Redesign
Orange County pricing generally runs above the national average – labor costs, permitting requirements, and the age of local housing stock all play a part. Rather than quote a number that may not fit your home, we’ll build you a free itemized estimate based on your actual space and selections.

FAQ
Common Kitchen Renovation Questions, Answered
Most full kitchen remodels run 6–12 weeks of active construction. Cosmetic updates like cabinet refacing and new countertops finish in 2–4 weeks. Projects involving wall removal or custom cabinetry take longer, mainly due to material lead times and city inspection scheduling. You’ll get a realistic timeline in writing before we start.
Usually, yes. Swapping countertops or painting typically doesn’t require one, but anything touching electrical, plumbing, gas lines, or structure does. Every Orange County city runs its own building department with its own requirements – we manage the entire permitting process for you.
Most clients do. We contain dust, protect flooring and adjacent rooms, and clean the work zone daily. You’ll be without a functioning kitchen for the bulk of the project, so plan on a temporary kitchenette with a microwave, coffee maker, and mini fridge. We’ll help you set it up.
Considerably, and it’s much faster – an excellent option when your existing cabinet boxes are structurally sound and the layout already works well. If the configuration is inefficient or you’re changing the kitchen’s footprint, new custom cabinetry is the better long-term investment. We’ll assess your cabinets and tell you honestly which applies.
Kitchen renovations consistently rank among the highest-return home improvement projects, and that holds especially true in competitive SoCal markets where buyers expect updated, open kitchens. Properly permitted work with documentation also protects you during the sale process.
