Q Kitchen & Bath (“Q Kitchen & Bath,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a full-service design-build remodeling firm based in Costa Mesa, California. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit q-kb.com (the “Site”), contact us about a remodeling project, or work with us as a client – and how we use, share, and protect that information.

By using our Site or submitting information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information through it.

When you request a consultation, submit a contact form, call or email us, or engage us for a remodeling project, you may provide:

  • Project address – the location of the home or property to be remodeled
  • Project details – room type (kitchen, bathroom, whole home, addition), scope of work, budget range, desired timeline, design preferences, and style notes
  • Property information – photos, measurements, floor plans, existing conditions, HOA or permitting details you choose to share
  • Communication content – messages, emails, text messages, and notes from phone or in-person consultations
  • Payment and financing information – billing details, contract terms, and deposit or draw schedules for active projects

You may also provide information about others (for example, a spouse, co-owner, property manager, or tenant). By submitting that information, you confirm you have their permission to do so.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages viewed, time on page, and referring URLs
  • Search terms that brought you to the Site

Our Site is hosted on Shopify. Shopify provides the underlying platform, hosting infrastructure, and – where applicable – order and payment processing.   • Send marketing communications about our services, portfolio, and promotions (where permitted, and always with an opt-out)
  • Request reviews and feedback after project completion
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site
  • Analyze site traffic and measure the performance of our marketing
  • Comply with legal, licensing, tax, insurance, and building-code obligations
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

  • We will obtain your written permission before publishing photographs of your home. Your consent is typically addressed in your project agreement or a separate photo release.
  • Published project photos are presented without your name or street address unless you specifically authorize us to identify you or the location.
  • If you have previously consented and later wish to withdraw permission, contact us and we will remove the images from materials we control. Content already distributed to third-party platforms or printed materials may take additional time to remove.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep the Site functioning, and understand how visitors use it.

We may use:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – required for the Site to function; these cannot be disabled
  • Analytics cookies – to understand traffic and page performance (for example, Google Analytics)

8. Text Message (SMS) Communications

  • Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
  • Reply STOP to any message to opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
  • Opting out of marketing texts does not stop essential project-related communications while your project is active.
  • We do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers may be shared only with the messaging service providers that deliver our texts on our behalf.

9. Email Marketing

If you opt in to our mailing list, we may send design inspiration, project features, seasonal promotions, and company news. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email info@q-kb.com to be removed.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy.

  • Inquiries that do not become projects – typically retained for up to 24 months for follow-up, then deleted or de-identified
  • Client project records – retained for the duration of the project plus the period required by California contractor licensing, warranty, statute of limitations, tax, and insurance obligations
  • Financial and contract records – retained as required by law

We may retain de-identified or aggregated data indefinitely.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted transmission on our Site, access controls, and vetted third-party providers.

12. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, may give you the following rights:

  • Right to Delete – request deletion of personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions
  • Right to Correct – request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing – we do not sell personal information; you may opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information – we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring this option
  • Right to Non-Discrimination – we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a privacy right

We will verify your identity before fulfilling a request, typically by confirming information already in our records. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend once by an additional 45 days with notice to you.

Authorized agents: You may designate an agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require written authorization and verification of your identity.

13. Your Rights If You Are Outside California

Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws, and individuals in jurisdictions such as the EEA and UK, may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability. We honor verified requests where those laws apply to us. Contact us at info@q-kb.com.

14. Children’s Privacy

Our Site and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us at info@q-kb.com and we will delete it.

15. Third-Party Links

Our Site may link to third-party websites – suppliers, manufacturers, review platforms, or social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.

16. Do Not Track

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. There is no industry standard for responding to them, so our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control signals as described in Section 7.

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
